Now in its ninth year, Come Up To My Room, the Gladstone Hotel’s annual alternative design exhibition, has emerged as a don’t-miss event for Toronto designers.

The concept is simple. Toronto’s oldest operating hotel opens its rooms to Toronto designers, who in turn transform each space according to their creative vision.

Come Up to My Room kicks off Friday and includes 11 rooms and 14 open-space exhibitions, design talks and curatorial tours.

CBC.ca got a sneak peek at the exhibitions on Thursday, click through the images above to get a sample of the designs on display.

Come Up To My Room opens on Friday and continues to Sunday at 5 p.m.
